The Hamsa (double thumbed palm with embedded eye) has been used in numerous religions as a symbol for fortune and protection against evil forces; and in recent years has been used by the Hamsa Flag project to represent Jewish/ Muslim solidarity.
I originally created this design as a concept for a screen printed poster for Nick Hakim’s concert in Baltimore in 2017. I was influenced by his moody ethereal sound and psychedelic visuals, and wanted to evoke a vibe of being immersed in a multi-sensory experience. The show was awesome, and a different concept was ultimately chosen for the final poster, but now you can enjoy this illustration as a 1in x 2.5in embroidered patch on your jacket or backpack!
Note: These do not have iron on backing. I suggest securely sewing onto garment with a matching color thread around the outside edge of the design.
